Investigation at the Philadelphia Zoo after all their meerkats died from an alleged accidental poisoning

An investigation is underway after all five meerkats at the Philadelphia Zoo died this month of an alleged accidental poisoning. The animals were poisoned by a dye that was used to mark them so they could be told apart from one another. Officials say the dye has been used for decades on other animals but has also led to other small mammal deaths.
