The NBC10 First Alert Weather team has lifted its First Alert after steady, sometimes heavy, rain moved over the Philadelphia region and created flooding threats.
The First Alert was in effect for the entire Philadelphia region except the Jersey Shore and southern Delaware Sunday, with pockets of heavy rain falling through the early afternoon.
The greatest flooding threat was in the northernmost neighborhoods, including the Pennsylvania Suburbs and the Lehigh Valley.

In Philadelphia, the showers caused problems for runners taking part in the Blue Cross Broad Street Run. Runners were advised to wear ponchos but to not over-layer their clothing so as to avoid overheating.
The rain eased up a little by the early afternoon, but will continue to fall steadily through the evening.
