Inches of Snow Fall on Parts of South Jersey, Delaware

The southern parts of the Philadelphia region dealt with snow Monday morning as nearly 4 inches of snow fell in parts of South Jersey and Delaware.

The National Weather Service says that heavy snow would create snow covered roads and lead to visibility of less than a half mile at times.

The storm impacted parts of Atlantic, Cape May, Ocean, Cumberland and Burlington counties in New Jersey as well as Kent and Sussex counties in Delaware. The storm avoided Philadelphia and points north.

Forecasters say the heavier snow would end during the mid- to late-morning and scattered snow showers could linger into the afternoon. By 8:30 a.m., 3.6 inches had fallen in Bridgeville, Sussex County and more than two inches in Wildwood Crest and Cape May in Cape May County, New Jersey.

The winter weather advisory remains in effect until noon.
