Shed the Layers! Record Warmth on Tap

A flash of spring is on the way

Record warmth is on tap for our area Wednesday with temperatures expected to climb close to 70 degrees.

Wednesday morning started off with temps in the 40s, but some spots were warmer in the 50s-- 54 degrees in Cape May, 52 degrees in Dover.

A warm front is set to move across the area and southwest winds will allow temps to rise through the 60s Wednesday afternoon, despite the cloudy start in the morning.

The predicted high for Philadelphia Wednesday is 67 degrees. The record is 66, which was set back in 1887.

Then a cold front will move through bringing the possibility of showers and thunderstorms late Wednesday night.

Strong winds will take over the area Thursday, gusting to over 50 m.p.h., but rain showers will be long gone.

We're not out of the winter woods just yet!  Cold weather returns this weekend with temps in the upper 30s.  There is also a chance of snow on Saturday.
