First Alert: Storms Hit Parts of South Jersey and Delaware

Strong storms hit parts of Delaware, South Jersey and the Jersey Shore Wednesday night, leading to some flooding in isolated areas. Rain fell in other neighborhoods.

Humidity and temperatures rose throughout the day. By the afternoon, the area was in the low to mid 80s with muggy conditions, which acted as a fuel for storms that moved into South Jersey and Delaware by the late afternoon.

Overall, the storms were not as numerous or powerful as last week’s storms though there were reports of some flooding.

Some showers lingered in South Jersey and the shore into Thursday morning.

Expect highs in the 80s Thursday.
