It's a great time to get you signed up for NBC10's School Closings. You can learn first via text alert or email when you or your child's school is shut for the day, closing early or opening late.
Signing up is quick and easy.
Start here on the NBC10 School Closings page.
Step 1: Click on the Subscribe to Mobile Alerts tab on the right-hand side of the page.
Step 2: Fill out the General Information Category on our sign-up page with your First Name, Last Name, Time Zone and Zip Code. Check the box that says you're over the age of 13.
Step 3: Decide how you want to get your alerts. You have three options: text alert, email alert, or both!
Step 4: Select your school(s), which are categorized by county.
Step 5: Click on CONTINUE
Step 6: For Mobile Text Alerts, you'll receive a five-digit authorization code and on this next page, you just enter that code to activate the School Closing text alerts. Click CONTINUE.
Step 8: THANK YOU for Signing Up! When you get to this screen, you're all set.
