National Weather Service: Flooding in NJ Possible This Week

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook in New Jersey for the coming work week.

The service said Sunday the outlook affects central, northern and southern parts of the state and residents could see heavy rain later in the week.

Heavy rain on Wednesday in particular could lead to flooding in poor drainage areas.

Minor tidal flooding is also possible with the high tide cycle on Wednesday due to northeasterly and easterly winds which are higher than normal astronomical tides. There is also a lower chance for minor tidal flooding with the day time high cycles Monday and Tuesday.
