The National Weather Service has upgraded and extended the Winter Weather Advisory to a Winter Storm Warning for parts of the area.

A Winter Storm Warning was in effect until 4 a.m. Wednesday for Philadelphia and Delaware counties in Pennsylvania and Salem, Gloucester, Camden, Cumberland and Atlantic counties in New Jersey.

 Expect some slick roads, driveways and sidewalks Wednesday morning.

Wednesday morning quick weather update:

  • Most of the snow is over for Phila.
  • There's just a few snow showers in parts of Delaware and South Jersey into Salem county
  • The wind is increasing; temps. are increasing

    Another arctic blast blows in Wednesday into Thursday, with wind chills as low as the single digits Thursday morning.

    The cold blast will be brief -- expect a big warm up to start Friday and continue throughout the weekend.
