Snow falls from the Poconos to the Jersey Shore

The snow has ended, leaving five inches on the ground in the city of Philadelphia, six in Burlington County, N.J. and less than five inches in Delaware.

We do have more than 700 school closings and delays, including Philadelphia public and parochial schools, which are closed.

Crews have been out across the region overnight treating the roads. Leave some extra time and space on the road if part of the morning rush.

"Travel conditions are improving with every minute," said PennDot spokesman Charles Metzger just before 7 a.m.. All the major roads have been treated and crews were working the secondary roads.
