What to Know
Severe storms are expected to move into the region Sunday afternoon into the evening.
We could be hit with powerful thunderstorms, 50-70 mph winds, downpours and hail.
The storms, however, are not expected to be as destructive as the ones that tore through the region earlier in the week.
After a seasonably warm and sunny Saturday, storms moved back into the area Sunday, bringing heavy rain, lightning and hail. The region was under a First Alert through Sunday night.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch was in effect for our entire area through 10 p.m. as another round of gusty thunderstorms moved through our region.
Storms with heavy downpours, lightning and hail moved through the area Sunday afternoon and evening. Severe Thunderstorm Warnings were in effect for counties throughout the region as the storms continued.
By Sunday night, just under 1,000 PECO customers were without power in Bucks County. There were also reports of storm damage in Delaware.
Conditions later dried out.
