Two big rigs – one carrying food, the other furniture – collided along a busy South Jersey road early Thursday leaving the roadway closed for more than an hour.

The wreck happened around 3:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes of U.S. Route 130 above Groveville Road in Bordentown Township, said Burlington County dispatchers.

The RC Transport LLC truck cab was left mangled. The driver of the other tractor-trailer -- a Cadence Premier Cargo truck -- said he was rear-ended, which caused minor damage to his trailer.

The driver of the truck with serious damage was taken to the hospital for treatment, said dispatchers.

It took about two hours for crews to reopen one lane of traffic.
