SEPTA is urging passengers to adopt the SEPTA Key Card ahead of upcoming changes to its services in August.
The transit company will stop selling paper transfers for travel on buses, subways and trolleys at the end of the day Tuesday. Customers must use a SEPTA Key Card with Travel Wallet to receive the $1 qualifying transfer moving forward, the company said.
The end of paper transfer wasn't the only change. Third-party sales of magnetic stripe passes end on Wednesday.
Most regular passengers have already made the switch to the digital payment option that was introduced in June 2016, according to SEPTA.
