SEPTA Shuttle Busing Hundreds of Regional Rail Passengers in Delaware County

Hundreds of SEPTA Regional Rail riders will be riding this bus this summer due to bridge construction.

SEPTA plans to shuttle Media/Elwyn Line commuters to and from any of the four stations west of Delaware County’s Swarthmore Station starting Monday through Labor Day.

The changes could impact about 1,600 passengers daily.

The busing is necessary so that SEPTA crews can complete the final phase of the Crum Creek Viaduct Project.

Passengers needing to get from Elwyn, Media, Moylan-Rose Valley and Wallingford stations to Center City will need to hop on buses before continuing toward Philadelphia – a trip that could add around 10 minutes to commutes. But, during the busy morning rush (from 5:16 to 8:09 a.m.) buses will operate on an express basis from Elwyn to Swarthmore stations. In the other direction, buses will take passengers to their final destinations.
