An overturned tractor-trailer caused a traffic mess along one of the area’s busiest roads this morning.
The big rig fell onto its side along the inner lanes of the northbound Roosevelt Boulevard (U.S. Route 1) past Woodhaven Road in Northeast Philadelphia around 6:45 a.m. Wednesday.
For a short period of time traffic came to a complete stop causing some motorists to decide to drive over the snowy median and into the outer lanes.
By 7 a.m. traffic got past the scene as crews worked to right the big rig. Traffic backed up along the outer lanes as drivers tried to get past the scene.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the crash remained under investigation as crews spent nearly two hours righting the truck.
