Bankrupt Trucking Firm Shuts Doors on 1,500 Employees

A local trucking firm, New Century Transportation, announced on Monday to its 1,500 employees that the business had filed for bankruptcy and would be closing.

While some of New Century’s truckers received letters from the company warning of the closure, others allegedly did not know until they arrived at the Burlington County, N.J. headquarters in their big-rigs.

The company, which was founded in 2000, recently had their accreditation pulled from the Better Business Bureau. Read more about this story on PBJ.com.
