Service was suspended on a regional rail line in eastern Pennsylvania after a train struck and killed a woman.
A spokesman for the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority says the unidentified woman was hit near the Spring Mill station in suburban Philadelphia. The train was headed to downtown Philadelphia at around 10 p.m. when it struck the woman in Conshohocken.
Police say the woman was trespassing at the time. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Norristown Regional Rail line was subsequently suspended. Service is expected to return by Monday morning.
Officials say authorities are investigating whether it was a suicide.
Train passengers were bussed to their destinations.
