If you are looking for ways to bring your kitchen into the 21st century or give the master bedroom a makeover, get a load of suggestions and meet celebrity experts at the 2010 Philadelphia Home show opening Saturday at the Convention Center.
During the weeklong show, there will be 300 exhibitors showcasing state-of-the art products and cost-saving tips on remodeling, decorating and landscaping your space.
Attendees will get the chance to interact with more than 500 experts on everything from the perfect shade of blue for the kitchen to bringing environmentally friendly items into the home.
A hosts of celebrity experts will offer their expertise including celebrity designer Paul DiMeo of ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, John Gidding of HGTV’s “Designed to Sell” and “Curb Appeal: The Block,” and Christopher Straub of Lifetime’s “Project Runway”.
One of the highlights of the show is the four Designer Rooms, which includes an eco-friendly living room, a spa retreat, a baby suite and the “man cave” – designed for sports fans and features a 58-inch high definition TV.
There are two special nights for men and women. On Tuesday, guy’s night, Tony Luke’s Cheesesteaks and Flying Fish Brewing Co. will be on hand. Wednesday night is reserved for the ladies with Salon 31 offering opportunities to shop.
The Philadelphia Home Show runs through Sunday January 24th. Tickets are $12 for adults. $3 for children ages 6 to 12 and free for children ages 5 and younger.
