Happy Hour at Wegmans

Local supermarket chain expands its playing field with full-scale restaurant and bar

Wegmans shoppers will be spending even more time at the supermarket than before.

The Pub at Wegmans is the supermarket’s newest addition to its ever-growing dining scene at the in-store Market-Café.

The full-scale restaurant and bar are open at the Wegmans in Collegeville, Pa., Malvern, Pa. and King of Prussia, Pa.

The Pub offers American cuisine made by their executive chefs, a variety of craft beers by Pennsylvania breweries, a selection of wines from all over the world, and a list of original, but exciting cocktails.

“The Pub is a great option for so many diners -- shoppers who prefer not to ‘shop hungry,’ people who live nearby and want a quick meal on the way home from work, even families who want to enjoy an affordable dinner without all the cooking and cleaning,” says Kathy Haines, director of Wegmans in-store restaurants and Market-Cafes.

The traditional grocery store is a thing of the past for one of the country’s leading supermarket chains.

“It’s all part of our ongoing mission to offer our guests the best and most comprehensive food experience, from shopping for groceries to enjoying dinner and drinks,” said Haines in a press release. “A simple grocery store isn’t enough anymore; our customers asked for fresh meals to go and dine-in options, and we listened.”
