The Fix Is NOT In: Le Castagne Rings In The New Year A La Carte

With New Year’s Eve rapidly approaching, now is the time to set your dining plans for the celebratory night. However, one of the major bummers about eating out on NYE is the annoying fixed menus everywhere. Basically, usually there are no more than three options on each course, and half the time none of them look that great.

At least Le Castagne, the award winning European Italian restaurant on 19th and Chestnut has heard the dining laments. They are one of the few restaurants offering full a la carte menu for the evening in addition to some added specials. No set prices or minimized choices as far as the stomach can see.

Executive chef Brian Wilson will be at hand to execute familiar favorites and several fabulous soups, pastas, and fish additions. Among many great menu items, try the Tagliolini allo Scoglio, succulent rock shrimp and calamari tossed in a light saffron sauce ($16).

The place will be glamorously decorated with balloons, lights, flowers, and plenty of party hats people! Don’t forget the champagne toast at Midnight, set to coincide with the ball drop on a huge big screen TV brought in specifically for the night’s festivities. The restaurant is highly flexible and very accommodating, so bring your large groups, small groups, and special requests.

Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, the present economy problems are glaringly apparent. Very few of us have over $100 to spend on a fixed menu, so give the absolutely delicious Le Castagne a try, and ring in the New Year with a happy stomach as well as some extra money in your pocket.
