Take A Trip Down Memory Lane at Cool Scoops Ice Cream Parlor

As soon as you step into Cools Scoops Ice Cream Parlor in North Wildwood, NJ, you know it’s no ordinary joint. A giant sundae greets you above the front door leading to a dining room with hacked up classic cars serving as dining booths—a ’59 Caddy, ’57 Chevy Bel Air and a ’57 Ford Fairlane.

Owners Paul and Lori Russo decorated Cool Scoops with their massive collection of mid-century memorabilia; they wanted to create a place that was family friendly and felt like an ice cream parlor from the ’50s.

But it’s not all knick-knacks at Cool Sccops; the Russos serve up more than 30 flavors of hand dipped soft-serve and sugar-free ice creams. One of the most popular treats is the Dusty Road Sundae, served in a collectible hot rod. Other specialty items include the ScoopDeVille and Lil’ Deuce Scoops, and of course they serve smoothies and slushies and ’50’s style shakes and malts and hotdogs.

Cool Scoops is open nine months out of the year, from March to November. Hours vary, but through Labor Day they are opened daily from 3 to 11pm.
