Sheena's Hot Wings Recipe

NBC10 Meteorologist Sheena Parveen shares her recipe for Hot Buffalo Wings

Hot Buffalo Wings:

Ingredients:

  • 3 1/2 lbs of wings
  • 1/2 stick of butter
  • 1 cup of your favorite hot sauce (I like Frank's Hot Sauce)
  • salt to sprinkle
  • vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp mayonase

Directions:

Pat wings dry with a paper towel and sprinkle with salt.

Fill a large, deep skillet half way with vegetable oil to 350 degrees.  Or medium heat.

Test a wing first in the oil.  When it starts to fry the wing, it's ready for the wings to go in.

Place all wings in oil once it's hot enough.  About 10 minutes, then flip for another 10 minutes, until wings are done.

Meanwhile, melt 1/2 stick butter in a pot.  Once butter melts, turn heat to LOW and add hot sauce, garlic powder and mayo.

Stir sauce until mayo chunks are gone.

If the sauce it too hot, add more butter (the more butter you add, the milder the sauce).  The more mayo you add, the thicker the sauce will be.

Once the wings are done, place in a strainer and trasfer to the pot with the sauce.

Toss wings in sauce and serve hot with celery and blue cheese dressing.
