NJ Promotes ‘Wine Tourism'

A new website launched this week promotes the Garden State as a destination for wine tourists

As summer quickly approaches, South Jersey Tourism Corporation announces a new website- VintageSouthJersey.com that promotes the Garden State as a destination for "wine tourism."

New Jersey is the 7th largest wine grower in the country, with more than 30 wineries and commercial vineyards in operation. A new law that went into effect on May 1 allows New Jersey wineries to ship directly customers in most of the country, and allows out-of-state wineries to ship to New Jersey residents as well.

On VintageSouthJersey.com, people can find information on visiting state wineries, touring "wine trails", and a series of upcoming wine festivals.

The "Glassboro Vintage South Jersey Wine Festival" is the first in the series and will take place May 19-20. Click here for more information on tickets.
