Starting today, Philadelphia foodies will be piling on their loose-fitting clothing and venturing out onto the dining scene. Expect crowded restaurants, long waits… and two whole weeks of great eating. That's right, Restaurant Week has officially been extended another week through February 6th. It's like a dream come true!
Some of the big-name establishments participating in this year's event are: 10 Arts by Eric Ripert,Amada,Estia,Fork,Lacroix at the Rittenhouse,Le Bec-Fin,Smith & Wollensky and Table 31. Over 100 restaurants will be offering their $35 prix-fixe menus to a public eager for both food and discounts. In addition, several chefs will be holding cooking demonstrations at Reading Terminal Market from noon to 1:00 the first five days of the event. Get there early as space is limited to 25 people.
