We, like so many others, enjoy tossing back -- excuse us, sipping -- a drink at the lovely long polished wood bar at classy Queen Village restaurant Southwark.
We love the classic cocktails expertly made by bartenders who have honed their mixology skills and we love soaking in their snappy repertoire. We love it so much, in fact, that we sometimes forget that there's a perfectly delightful dining room and a lovely patio in the back where we can treat ourselves to a chef-owner Sheri Waide's delicious seasonal fare at an actual table like civilized folk.
To encourage more guests to sample its charms beyond the bar, the restaurant is offering a special promotion: Tuesdays through Thursdays, every bottle of wine on their well-curated wine list is half off. The catch is, the offer is only extended to patrons who eat in the dining room or the patio.
If anything can convince us to tear ourselves away from the bar, it's a deal like that.
