Eat-onomic Stimulus Plan

If you want to go out to eat but don't want to worry about breaking the bank, there are plenty of options out there.  You just have to know where to look.  Instead of scanning the circulars and dining ads on your own, we've compiled some great stimulus deals for you.  So, "stimulate" your appetite with these great restaurant specials:

Du Jour Symphony House:  The Symphony House's casual eatery is offering a sweet boozy deal- Order two entrees after 7:30pm, and get a free bottle of Beringer Chard or Cab -- making it a fantastically economical date.  440 S Broad St; 215.735.8010

Applebee's: The two for $20 deal is back! You can choose one appetizer and two entrees for 20 bucks. On Monday nights, you can grab a 7 oz. Sirloin for $8.99 or a 9 oz. sirloin for $10.99.

Blackfish: Every Monday beginning March 16 from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m., chef/owner Chip Roman will create a four-course Chef’s Tasting for $45. The Chef’s Tasting will focus on a single ingredient each week.

Beginning on Tuesday, February 24 this Conshohocken eatery is offering their Lunch Express. Choose two courses for $12 (not including tax and gratuity). Whether you prefer an appetizer and entree, an entree and dessert, or an appetizer and dessert--it's your choice to mix and match! Lunch Express is available Tuesday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Call 610-397-0888 for reservations.

Boston Market: Boston Market offers a $5.99 value menu with 12 meals to choose from. And with the purchase of any family meal over $19.99, you get a whole chicken for just $1.99.

Denny’s: The Express Grand Slam has been discounted to $4 instead of $5.99. It includes two buttermilk pancakes and a choice of two sausage links or two slices of bacon.

Iron Hill Brewery: The brewery and restaurant is offering their version of the Economic Stimulus Plan by randomly selecting customers to receive a "bailout"--meaning: they pick up your tab! The Iron Hill bailout runs through the end of the month.

London Grill: This Fairmount restaurant is offering awesome meal deals for just $18.95. The Meal Deal offer includes two entree options; a fresh Maine lobster dinner or steak and a salad, selected daily by Chef Michael McNally. These steals are offered to all diners from now through March 31 during dinner hours. The London Grille also offers a Happy Hour from Monday through Friday with $3 plates and $3 drinks.

Manayunk Brewery: The restaurant and brewery hosts happy hour Monday through Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Items are $5 a la carte. On Tuesdays, they offer all you can eat crab for $21.95 per person starting at 5:30 p.m. and on Sundays, there is live jazz and a brunch buffet that is $21.95 for adults and $10.95 for kids.

Moshulu: The Philadelphia restaurant has a Sunday brunch buffet special for $35 per person that includes three-courses. The first course is an appetizer (buffet), the second is a selection of one of two entrees and the third course is dessert (a chocolate fountain, as well as chef tastings specials). Also, there is umlimited champagne, champagne cocktails, coffee, hot tea and iced tea.

Olive Garden: Grab unlimited soup, salad and breadsticks for lunch for only $6.95.

Pizza Hut: With tons of deals, it's hard to choose, but here are some of your options. Buy one large pizza and get medium pizza for just a penny. Family-size baked Tuscani pasta, five breadsticks and a medium one-topping pizza is only $20.99 (that's a lot of food). Grab a medium one-topping “The Natural Pizza,” a medium pizza (up to three-toppings or specialty) and an order of hershey’s chocolate dunkers with chocolate dipping sauce for $19.99 or two medium one-topping pizzas, an order of breadsticks and an order of Hershey's chocolate dunkers with chocolate dipping sauce for $19.99. If wings are your thing, the two medium, one-topping pizzas and an order of wings for 20 bucks is a great deal.

Red Lobster: You can get coupons in the newspaper every eight weeks for $3.00 off any two lunch entrees or $4.00 off any two dinner entrees. Also, Discover Credit Card sends out gift certificates to Red Lobster when you spend a certain amount on the credit card ($1,000=$5 giftcard, $4,000=$25).

Starbucks: Beginning on March 3, this coffee chain will start selling "value meals" for $3.95. These meal deals could save consumers as much as $1.20! The discounted combinations at Starbucks include a tall latte served with oatmeal or reduced-fat cinnamon swirl coffee cake. Customers can also combine a tall brewed coffee with one of four egg sandwiches.

Taco Bell: The value menu offers a bunch of different options for under a dollar. You can get a cheese roll-up, cinnamon twists, triple layer nachos, crunchy taco, cheesy double beef burrito, soft taco, big taste taco, bean burrito or a caramel apple empanada. Yum, Mexican.

Uno Chicago Grill: This pizza (and more) joint was named among the top 10 casual dining chains considered “Best Recession Restaurant Deals” by AOL’s WalletPop.com. The restaurant offers 10 lunches in under 10 minutes and all 10 come with unlimited soup or a salad. Prices range from $5.99 to $7.99
