The band canceled the rest of their current tour which was supposed to end in Camden, N.J.
Weezer was to take the stage Thursday at the Susquehanna Bank Center along with openers Jack’s Mannequin and Motion City Soundtrack.
Cuomo, 39, was hurt when a tour bus carrying himself, his family and some assistants hit black ice Sunday along I-90 about 40 miles West of Albany, N.Y., according to the band’s Web site.
The bus driver attempted to keep the bus on the road but it veered into a ravine off the side of the road. Cuomo and the others were tossed about inside the bus and fell about five feet.
Cuomo cracked three ribs, hurt his leg and suffered some minor, but painful, internal injuries, said Weezer.com.
His assistant Sarah also suffered serious injuries. His wife, two-year-old daughter and their nanny weren’t seriously injured.
No other members of Weezer were on board.
Pictures of the crash scene were posted to Weezer.com.
The show wasn’t rescheduled and refunds are available at point of purchase.
The band's blogger Karl released the following statement on behalf of the group: "We are sorry to say that the rest of the December Raditude Tour has been cancelled -- when we can reschedule the dates we will, of course."
