The wait is over. The 2009 Phillies season starts Sunday, but the party starts a day earlier.
JL Sullivans is throwing a huge party in honor of the World Champs. They call it the "unofficial" Phillies season opener pep rally but, with the deals they are offering, the crowds might make it pretty official.
Fans are really excited to start the season especially since the first drink is on the house. Sullivans is also discounting "anything red" until midnight. That's right, if your drink is the color red, it will be cheap. And, yes, that includes red wine (for the classy fan) and $1 red jello shots (for the true party animals).
Get yourself on the guest list and the deal gets even better. You'll get a discounted cover charge ($8 if you're on the list -- $10 if you're not), a free official Phillies rally towel, a chance to win Phillies tickets and autographed bats and balls. Dust off your Phillies gear, it's been lonely the last four months, and you'll get an extra $2 off the cover charge.
JL Sullivans will also be playing the World Series winning game all night. Relive the madness and head down to JL Sullivans starting Saturday at 8 p.m.
