It might be hard to believe, but today's ugly winter sweater was the 80s winter fashion trend.

Well, to celebrate the holiday season, old sweaters and just having a good time, Slainte Pub & Grill on Market Street is throwing an Ugly Sweater Party for a good cause on Saturday, Dec. 5 at 10 p.m.
Not only are they giving prizes for the ugliest sweaters, offering great drink specials and a $5 late night food menu, they are giving you 15-percent off your check at the end of the night if you donate your sweater to their Holiday Clothing Drive. Unfortunately, the discount doesn't apply to alcohol but it certainly applies to the food.
All donations will go to the Salvation Army of Philadelphia.
So wear your ugliest sweater and head out for a good cause this holiday season.
