Celebrate MLK Day at the National Constitution Center

The National Constitution Center is paying tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Monday beginning at 10 a.m.

Visitors can sew quilts, baby blankets and pillows for Women Against Abuse, a non-profit organization that helps victims of domestic violence.

At 11 a.m., sing-along with husband and wife duo, Two of a Kind, in the Kirby Auditorium. The award-winning couple specialize in children’s music.

The kids will also have the chance to make some very special crafts pertaining to the civil rights leader.

And what MLK Day celebration would be complete without a reading of Dr. King’s “I Have a Dream” speech. Local college students and actors will read the speech in its entirety at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.

Admission to the National Constitution Center is free all day.
