The Running of the Santas Returns

Put on your Santa suit & party this Saturday

It’s that time of year again where thousands of folks in Santa hats roam the streets of Philadelphia.

That’s right, The Running of the Santas will be back on Saturday and this year it will have three stages for all the "Santas" to participate in.

Stage 1 will kick off the event with $2 beers from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Pregame events will be held throughout the area as  Kildare's in Manayunk, P.J. Whelihan's in Cherry Hill, Paddy Whacks on South Street, The Field House in Center City and many more bars participate.

Promote safe driving by taking a cab, bus, or train to the official starting place for the run at Finnigan's Wake on 3rd and Spring Garden for Stage 2 from 1 to 4 p.m. Great music, $3 beers and a Hot Santa Contest will be included all to prepare the runners for Stage 3 -- the official run.

The run doesn't last long -- just a few blocks -- ending at the “North Pole” also known as Festival Pier at Penn’s Landing.

After the run the Santas with party wristbands will be able to continue the drinking in a heated tent at the “North Pole” with $3 beers, $5 Monster Bombs, Club Risque dancers and live music featuring Go Go Gadget, Split Decision and more.

Tickets are $20. You can get your tickets and your wristband for the "North Pole" party when the ticket gates at Festival Pier open at 10 a.m. Organizers encourage people to pick up their wristbands before 2 p.m. to avoid long lines.

Get your Santa suit on and party all night long while also getting a little bit of a workout.

And please don't drink and drive -- this is a Santa run NOT drive.
