This Saturday, the city will be alive with the sights and sounds of St. Patrick’s Day, but the good news is, you don’t have to be Irish to celebrate!
Starting bright and early on March 13, get your game face and your running shoes on for the 2010 Running of the Micks.
Registration begins at Finnigan’s Wake in Northern Liberties at 10 a.m. and continues until 3 p.m. There, you can pick up your wristband (with your paypal receipt and valid ID) and hitch a ride on one of two different bus routes. With either route, you’ll visit Finnigan’s, Urban Saloon and Field House, plus the buses will make a stop at the Art Museum, so “Micks” can run Rocky-style up the steps.
At each location, enjoy music, $3 beers and $5 Jameson (because what’s more Irish than Irish Whiskey?).
The trip ends back at Finnigan’s where they’ll honor wristbands until 8.
Reserve your seat early for $30, because they are limited and you wouldn’t want to miss your chance for a very willing designated driver.
