A.C. Marathon to hold first ever April Fools Run

The race starts in front of Bally’s Dennis Courtyard at 801 Boardwalk Ave., turns at Ventnor and ends back at Bally’s where there will be refreshments and entertainment waiting.

Awards will be given out for the craziest outfit and wildest hat, among other wacky honors and a wheel that runners can spin for a more prizes.

If you don't have a crazy hat, a jester's hat will be supplied to the first 500 registrants and all racers get a commemorative race shirt, according to organizers.

Even though it's an April Fool's run, the race won't take place until Sunday, April 3 at 10:00 a.m. but plan to arrive before that for announcements that will take place at 9:30.

You can save some money by registering online in advance for $27. Race-day registration takes place at 8:00 a.m. at Bally’s for $35.
