Local Chefs Compete for Title

Local chefs are set to compete in the American Culinary Federation's Northeast Regional Conference.

Philadelphia’s own Chef Walter Straib and five other local chefs are set to compete in the American Culinary Federation’s Northeast Regional Conference, March Normal 0 21 – 22 in Columbus, Ohio.

Straib will be competing for the title of Northeast Region Chef of the Year against three other chefs from Cincinnati and for a chance to win the national award.

Zackery Jackson, Marietta Carreno-Unione, Yun Jun Jung, Tim Weik, and Tamara Williams from the Institute of Culinary Arts will be competing in a live competition at the conference in the ACF’s Northeast Regional Student Team Championship.
