Kimmel Center Kicks off Summer

The annual event features 40 musical acts for 14 hours of straight partying

Summer is about kicking back, relaxing, and enjoying the outdoors, right?

The Kimmel Center thinks so and that's why they're kicking off everyone’s favorite season with their 14-hour annual Summer Solstice extravaganza on Saturday, June 18.

The event, which starts at noon, will feature 40 musical acts with performances ranging from jazz, folk and even hip hip.

If a free drink is more your style, fire up your smart phone. The first 75 people to check in on FourSquare at the Kimmel Center after 11:30 p.m. will get a free drink ticket.

If you're planning on staying up late, you can check out the Eiffel Tower right in Philly. The light show will take place at 2:30 a.m.

There’s tons of fun planned throughout the day and night. Check out the Kimmel Center’s website for a complete list of performances.
