If you’re a fan of “chick lit” Jennifer Weiner has the perfect read for you.
On Tuesday May 4, the locally known author will be signing copies of the No. 1 New York Times bestseller “Best Friends Forever” to celebrate its paperback publication. If you don’t have a copy yet, don’t sweat it. Weiner will be bringing the copies of the book with her for purchase.
As an added bonus, Weiner will read from her upcoming novel “Fly Away Home” due out this summer.
The signing will begin at 6 p.m. There will be a set of marked doors on the Arch St. side of the market for fans to enter through. Once you’re in, head to the seating area where the piano is usually played.
The event is free. Complimentary wine from Blue Mountain Vineyards and chocolate from The Pennsylvania General Store will be served.
Wondering why Weiner is coming to The Reading Terminal Market as opposed to a traditional bookstore? Richard DeWyngaert, representative of Head House Books, says this time Weiner wanted to try an interesting venue for her fans. “She’s such a big part of the community. She wanted to find a way to tie something local into the signing,” DeWyngaert says.
