Jay-Z and Others Say “Stop the Violence”

A rally will be held in Trenton Saturday

Following the brutal gang rape of a seven-year-old girl who was sold for sex by her 15-year-old stepsister on March 27 at the Rowan Towers in Trenton, the city and many celebrities are taking a stand.

Mayor Douglas Palmer, Jay-Z, Russell Simmons and the Reverend Al Sharpton will hold a free rally to “Stop the Violence” at the Lighthouse Outreach Ministry on Saturday, April 10.

There will also be taped messages from Ludacris, Public Enemy’s Check D and Wise Intelligent of Poor Righteous, according to boombox.com.

The purpose of the rally is to bring awareness and a stop to crime and sexual violence.

Tickets to the rally can be picked up at the Lighthouse Outreach Ministry at 715 Bellevue Ave. now. The free rally begins at 7 p.m.
