Scavenger Hunt for Green Movie Sets

Join the Philly’s film and television professionals Friday in a scavenger hunt in search of greener sets.

Greater Philadelphia Film Office set up the event so that individuals and teams can help make the film industry in Philadelphia green.

Spurred on by the fact that the entertainment industry is known for using so much material in a single production that is only used once and then thrown away, teams will meet at the Headhouse Square Historic Shambles house at 200 Pine Street at 3 p.m.

Armed with their scavenger lists and maps, participants will scour the headhouse area of South Street for items. Everyone meets back at the house at 7 p.m. to claim prizes and network with other scavengers.

Since Philly has become a hub for movie makers, with five movies and two television shows filming here this summer alone, the event helps move Philly toward being a greener city.

Register as an Individual or Team to SETS@film.org by noon, July 23.
