Enter the World of Harry Potter This Weekend

The world of witchcraft & wizardry comes to Chestnut Hill

The story of Harry Potter may be over, but in the heart of Chestnut Hill, Harry Potter lives on.

Get your wands out and your favorite spells and come to the very first Harry Potter Weekend Friday through Sunday in Chestnut Hill.

All weekend long, Germantown Avenue will be transformed into Hogsmeade where you will be able to enter the world of witchcraft and wizardry.

Upon entering Hogsmeade there will be a ceremonial release of Hedwig the Owl at the Top of the Hill Plaza at 6 p.m. Friday signifying the start of weekend festivities.

For colder wizards and witches there will be a Harry Potter Pub Crawl.

Plenty of other fun is planned including a live psychic and a ghost tour -- perfect for getting an early start on Halloween.

Some of the Saturday and Sunday events include the Morris Arboretum Scarecrow Contest and the Defense Against the Dark Arts class. Plus check out the 2nd annual Quidditch Tournament at Chestnut Hill College, Quidditch 101, a scavenger hunt for the little wizards and witches, the 1st-Annual Hogsmeade Village Harry Potter Costume Contest and more.

Pay as you go when exploring the transformed Chestnut Hill and reminisce with fellow Harry Potter lovers all weekend long.
