Harry the K Hits a Book Store Near You

The long-time voice of the Phillies will come alive -- in print, that is, when “Harry the K: The Remarkable Life of Harry Kalas,” hits bookshelves on March 9.

The biography, penned by Randy Miller, beat writer for the Bucks County Courier Times and PhillyBurbs.com, will take an in-depth look into the life of one of Philadelphia’s most recognizable sports figures.

Miller says that although he loved Kalas, he was looking to reveal the real and raw life story of the famous broadcaster, according to the Philadelphia Daily News. The book will discuss Kalas' many indiscretions, his relationship with Eileen (his wife), his drinking and many more little known facts.

Mike Schmidt and Ryan Howard both contributed to the book as well as many of Harry the K's longtime friends.

The book will be sold for $24.95 at book stores and online only.
