Philly Beer Fest –Top Picks From an Expert

Beer aficionados came together Saturday to eat, drink and be merry at the Philly Craft Beer Festival.

The 3rd annual PCBF is the flagship event of Philly Beer Week. Thousands of beer drinkers descended on the Navy Yard to sample more than 120 beers from more than 50 breweries from near and far.

We here at NBC Philadelphia wanted to see what all the buzz was about so we went directly to one of the exports pulling suds at the PCBF.

Bella Vista Beer Distributors represented about 25 breweries at the festival.

Chris Fetfatzes, one of the owner/operators of Bella Vista, knows his brews and shared some of his festival favorites.

Fetfatzes' number one pick was Bruery’s Saison Rue out of San Francisco, Cali. The beer combines taste and aroma perfectly.

The best local beer was the Belgian Double White from River Horse Brewery in Lambertville, N.J., according to Fetfatzes.

If you want to try either of these beers or many other local and national offerings check out Bella Vista Beer & Soda Distributors in the Queen Village section of Philadelphia.

And, don’t worry there are still plenty of opportunities to raise a pint during Philly Beer Week.
