Most of the jazz clubs around the city charge a pretty penny to listen to music in their establishments. So you avoid the cover charges and try to pretend that the sax player at the open mic is reinventing John Coltrane… in a way only alley cats can understand.
Wednesdays nights upstairs at Time is a gift from the music gods to you, a faithful (albeit cheap) music lover. Tenor sax player Ben Schachter, bassist Leon Boykins and drummer Matt Scarano have chops enough for the finest clubs with high covers, but they're bringing it to you for free. Wednesday nights never sounded so sweet!
