Be Thankful for Thanksgiving Eve

The night before Turkey Day is one of the biggest party nights of the year. Here’s how you can celebrate the long weekend – and dance off some calories before you pack ‘em back on.

Take Me Home Tonight is in its third year and this year’s party is taking place at Del Frisco’s starting a 9 p.m. With four DJs from some of the hottest spots in Philly, a complimentary one-hour open bar and a light show, there’s no excuse not to pregame Turkey Day at the steakhouse on 14th and Chestnut.

Thanks Drinking Eve at McFadden’s in Northern Liberties starts at 8 p.m. with a $10 open bar featuring Bud, Bud Light, Twisted Tea, wells and wine. The open bar continues until 10 p.m.

All Access Thanksgiving Eve is giving you drink specials at five different bars around the city. Head to Drinker’s Tavern, Drinker’s West, Drinker’s Pub, Noche and Lucy’s and take advantage of 25-cent well drinks and Bud Light drafts from 8 p.m. until 10 p.m.

There’s one catch, you have to sign up before 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 25 to receive the specials.

4th Annual Turkey Ball at Tavern on Broad promises to be a night to remember with an open vodka bar from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m., $4 vodka, and $3 Blue Moon and Coors Light draft all night. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.

Thanksgiving Eve is a family affair at Cuba Libre and 32 Degrees. The two Old City hotspots are opening their doors and throwing a party – together. Double your pleasure with no cover, DJ Netto spinning house, party traxx and old school and DJ Fausto playing salsa, meringue, bachata, Latin and tropical house. Party start at 9 p.m. with $150 bottle service all night long.

Not into a DJ playing house, pop and hiphop? Pawnshop Roses, Leroy Justice and Blackjacks will be on stage at World Café Live at 9 p.m.; Phish will be at the Wachovia Center at 7:30 p.m.; or at 9 p.m., catch Toy Soldiers, TJ Kong and the Atomic Bomb, Chris Kasper and Josh Park at the Fire.
