AAMP Celebrates 35th Anniversary With Juneteenth Jam

Join the African American Museum (AAMP) in Philadelphia as it celebrates its 35th anniversary with the Juneteenth Jam!

The AAMP at 701 Arch Street will stay open for 35 hours straight in honor of their anniversary, beginning on June 18 and lasting until June 19. A prayer and coffee start off the marathon at 8 a.m.

Guests will be treated to live entertainment, stargazing with astronomer Derrick Pitts, film screenings and more. Younger visitors can participate in hands-on arts and crafts as well as a gaming tournament.

“The Juneteenth Jam is our gift of thanks to this wonderful community for their continued support since we opened our doors in 1976,” said AAMP President & CEO Romona Riscoe Benson, according to the AAMP Website.

All activities are free and available to guests of all ages.
