Happy Hour: Head to Old City for happy hour tonight. Stop by National Mechanics between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. for $1 off most drafts, $2 specialty drinks and $3 off most pitchers. The former bank turned bar/restaurant offers over 30 varieties of imports and local brews. Try a $6 veggie, National burger or anything else on their extensive menu. We recommend anything from their “nostalgic” section -- tomato soup with grilled cheese, a corn dog or pita pizza. National Mechanics, 22 South 3rd Street, Philadelphia, Pa. 19106, +21, 5 p.m.

Carrie Underwood: Country superstar Carrie Underwood is live at the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza (formerly the Wachovia Arena) tonight. Underwood has been on a roll since her win on American Idol a few years ago, releasing three albums, nine hit songs, four tours and even an engagement to hockey player Mike Fisher in December. She is joined by fellow country artist Craig Morgan tonight. Tickets begin at only $35. Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza, 255 Highland Park Blvd., Wilkes-Barre Township, Pa. 18702, $35, 7 p.m.
