12/4: Metal, Melancholy Music and Marbar

Rob Zombie: Metal-rocker Rob Zombie will be at the Electric Factory tonight with Nekomantix. Zombie is known to bring out the darker side in music, mixing horror with head-banging tunes. Nekomantix is a heavy metal group that hails from California. According to their myspace page, their influences are life, death and beyond. See both acts for only $35. Folk Acts: If heavy metal isn’t your thing or you’re just in the mood for something a bit tamer, check out a few folk singer-songwriters tonight at the Green Line Café. Local artist, Jim Anderson from Acres of Diamonds, brings his solo act alive with an acoustic performance. Indie artists Mouse Hilary White and Matt Landis will also hit the stage. Spread: A benefit for the Philly AIDS Fund will be held tonight at Marbar. Situated right above Marathon Grill in University City, round up your friends to help this worthwhile cause.
