12/18: Reggae, Rock and Representation

Badfish: Ah, the 90’s -- when ska punk was all the rage. Slip back into time tonight with Badfish, a Sublime tribute band. Badfish began as a group of college students who loved Sublime. Within years, Badfish was mastering the reggae rock tunes of Sublime and playing tons of shows in honor of Bradley Nowell, former lead singer and guitarist of Sublime. Badfish will be playing at the Electric Factory with Scott Don’t and Flight’s Kool. Don’t miss this killer show for only $20. Electric Factory, 421 North 7th Street, Philadelphia, Pa. 19123, $20, 8:30 p.m.

Be a Wingette: What goes better with wings than a few Wingettes? Tonight at South Philly Bar & Grill, they will be looking for the top four girls in Philly to represent Wingbowl 18. The ladies will receive on-air exposure at the 610 Morning Show, Wingbowl and the chance to win big (last year’s winner won a Harley Davidson.) For all those who don’t plan on participating in the wing contest, you can still enjoy $3 apple martinis, margaritas and shots all night long at the bar. South Philly Bar & Grill, 1235 East Passyunk Avenue, Philadelphia, Pa. 19147, +21, Free, 10 p.m.

Scream & Evolution: Music and drinks go hand-in-hand, throw in free pizza and you’ve got yourself a deal. See bands Scream and Evolution tonight in the North East at Whiskey Tango. Enjoy $2.50 Bud and Bud Light bottles as well as $1.50 Bud and Bud Light 16-oz. drafts. With each drink, have a free slice of pizza and listen to the exploding rhythms coming from the stage. Bring a friend and see what all the excitement’s about. Whiskey Tango, 14000 Bustleton Avenue, Philadelphia, Pa. 19116, +21, $7, 8 p.m.
