11/6: Indie Rock, Insightful Hip-Hop and Intriguing Prizes

Fresh Air Tour: See one of the most underrated hip-hop artists, Brother Ali, along with Toki Wright tonight at the First Unitarian Church. Ali tackles topics that many are afraid to speak about such as flaws of the human condition, drug abuse, divorce and more. Ali’s much-anticipated next album Us is even more personal and political. Wright began as a hypeman but has since established himself as a rapper and hardworking community activist. Filled with tons of insight to a hip-hop beat, this show will guarantee that you’ll see the world differently after you experience the Fresh Air Tour. Music at the Troc: Tonight the Troc brings you new talent, Justin Nozuka, Sam Bradley and Elizabeth & the Catapult. Each musician brings a folk, acoustic rock and soul sound. Nozuka’s originally from Canada and is a singer-songwriter who has been featured in several commercials, mtvU’s The Freshman and SXSW. Hailing from England, Bradley has been featured on the soundtrack for Twilight and is making his presence known here in the U.S. Elizabeth & the Catapult is a Brooklyn trio whose pop-rock sound has led them to gigs across the country.
