11/30: Comedy, Concerts and a Celebration

Monday Madness: If you need a few laughs or just a good drink, head to Helium Comedy Club tonight for happy comedy hour. With a free buffet and three comedians to hit the stage, we guarantee this will not be your average Monday night. Alycia Cooper, John Moses and Breakout are scheduled to perform. Lisa Sunshine: We know it’s been a tough day and you may have the Monday-back-to-work blues, but we think Lisa Sunshine will brighten up your night. The blues songstress will perform a free show at National Mechanics tonight in celebration of her latest CD, Hello Sunshine. Joe Melchiorre will open the show, followed by a screening of a documentary about glam funk rocker, Wesley Willis. Mew Music: Indie rock band, Mew, will hit the stage tonight at The Troc. Mew hails from Denmark and have been hugely popular overseas. The group just finished a tour with Nine Inch Nails and Jane’s Addiction in Europe. Tonight, watch Mew show the States what they’re all about.
