11/24: Celeb Deejays, Creative Soul and Crazy Folk

Jesus Luz: If the name Jesus Luz sounds familiar from tabloids, that’s because he’s Madonna’s new 20-something boyfriend. But Luz is a lot more than some arm candy -- he’s also a well-known deejay hailing from Brazil. Some of that Latin flavor will be in Atlantic City tonight, so bring your girls for some pre-Thanksgiving fun. Luz will play hip-hop, house, pop, reggaeton and R&B. Matt Lanter  from the CW's 90210 will host the event at Dusk in Ceasar’s Palace. Dusk, 2100 Pacific Avenue, Atlantic City, N.J. 08401, +21, 10 p.m.

N’dambi: Hailing from Texas (big hair and all), see N’dambi tonight at World Café Live. With her creativity and powerful sound, N’dambi brings a modern twist to R&B. This soulful vocalist, pianist and composer is sure to put on a show filled with love and raw emotion. Bring your friends or a date for this intimate performance. World Café Live, 3025 Walnut Street, Philadelphia, Pa. 19104, $11-13, 8 p.m.

Devendra Banhart: Stop in the Electric Factory tonight for some fresh and funky tunes. Singer/songwriter Devendra Banhart will show off his vocals and guitar skills. If you’ve never heard of him, his style can be best described as freak folk or alternative folk. Banhart’s seventh album was just released in October. Electric Factory, 421 North 7th Street, Philadelphia, Pa. 19123, $25, 8 p.m.
