10/28: Pizza, Performances and a Party

Pizza Time: With a James Beard Foundation nomination and a shout-out from Food Network on The Best Thing I Ever Ate, you’ve got to try Osteria. Backed by honchos, Marc Vetri and Jeff Benjamin, this Italian restaurant and pizzeria serves pizza to perfection. Try their oven-baked margherita, trentino, parma or marinara, just to name a few. Osteria, 640 North Broad Street, Philadelphia, Pa. 19130, 5 p.m.

Indie Night: Blues, soul and rock can be heard from miles away tonight at the Grace Potter and the Nocturnals show. The TLA welcomes the vintage-style rockers along with new group, Hacienda. Tickets begin right under $30 to jam all night. Theatre of Living Arts, 334 South Street, Philadelphia, Pa. 19147, $29, 8 p.m.

Halloween Bash: We’re so close to Halloween, why not celebrate a few days early? Cantina Dos Segundos is throwing a Halloween bash featuring Julian from Pink Skull on the one’s and two’s. Come with costume and sip on $4 pints or $15 pitchers of margaritas and sangria. Beer specials include $3 drafts and $4 Modelo Especial tallboys. Cantina Dos Segundos, 931 North 2nd Street, Philadelphia, Pa. 19123, 10 p.m.
